When I say I need to go... I mean it!
What is with people when you are on the phone with them? If you need to go, then you need to go. If I make a phone call, and the end result is to get an answer to a question... once I have the answer, I am pretty much ready to get off the phone. Why is it that with some people, you have to tell them multiple times "Ok, I have to go now"... and they will still just keep talking. WTF?

My first mobile blog
If I set this up right, I am in the process of posting a blog from my crackberry. How cool is that??

Second lead complete!
Ok, so it only took me over a year, but I finally led another climbing route. This was at Left Field wall at Pendergrass, Lowered Expectations aka Sandy's Ass Cherry 5.6 ** (sport). I think in the book its actually a 5.5, but online it says 5.6? It was 5 bolts and about 45ft tall. Anyways...
I top roped it first, some would say that is lame, but considering I hadn't led in over a year, and only once ever I thought I deserved a break. So I top roped it, no big deal, very easy indeed... I told myself, yeah I think I can do this. So I decided to give it a shot on lead. Voila! I made it up without too much trouble at all. I was nervous trying to clip the last bolt because I could barely reach it but wasn't comfortable moving up until I had it clipped. Ain't no shame, at least not in my book :)

Because Nicole Said So
Aaaaaahhhhhh!
Ok, I'm here. Sort of. I only have a few minutes before I get to leave work so I thought I would just comment on something that I'm not sure how I feel about it.
So, last week there were a bunch of lay-offs at the office, one of them was my boss. Now, because I don't post here much, you likely don't know that I couldn't stand the guy and that he was the worst manager I ever had. (well maybe not THE worst, but he was up there pretty high) Anyways, I couldn't help but feel a slight twinge of hope when I heard he was let go, that maybe my life at the office would get better. I have a new manager (actually he's my old manager from a while ago, but its fine because he's cool), a new outlook on the job and expect to stay for a while now. So there's the background... now to 5 min ago when I overheard a one sided telephone conversation of which I believe to have been about my former boss. He apparently had some sort of operation (no clue what) and there were complications and he is expected to be in the hospital for 2 weeks instead of the original 2 days. So, granted, this is all just the one side of the conversation and I don't really have any details at all... I had only a twinge of pity for him. Is that bad? I think I might be turning into a heartless bitch, but I'm not quite sure. I mean, I don't WANT him to be in pain or whatever, but I apparently don't care much if he is. So anyways. There's that.
And now, its 4:22 and I plan on heading out of here before a thunderstorm prevents me from getting to my car without getting soaked.
Hope you have a better day than my old boss.
Update: So I just thought I would post an update to say that it was not my boss in the hospital, as I found out yesterday he is already employed with his old company. Amazing how people like that get all the breaks.
